<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an knee airbag device so as to surely inflate and develop a lower leg protecting part along a space between a vertical wall surface part of an instrument panel and an occupant lower leg of an occupant after the airbag changes the direction and bends from a drawer-like base part by means of a direction change bending part while shortening the time needed for the inflation and development of the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The knee airbag device is configured so as to include the direction change bending part 3C formed to bend upward the lower leg protecting part 3B along the vertical wall surface part 5b to the drawer-like base part 3A in the airbag 3 and so as to suppress the swelling of an occupant opposite part 3-1 side in the drawer-like base part 3A to a car body floor surface 6 side by providing an inflation suppressing belt body 9, which has both ends attached, to a lower surface side attaching part 5a of the instrument panel 5 on an occupant opposite part 3-1 side in the drawer-like base part 3A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
