PURPOSE: An antioxidative peptide prepared by hydrolysis of Gadus macrocephalus skin and an antioxdiative composition containing the same are provided to remove ROS and to enhance antioxidation effect. CONSTITUTION: An antioxidative peptide prepared by hydrolysis of Gadus macrocephalus skin gelatin has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1(Thr-Cys-Ser-Pro) or sequence number 2(Thr-Gly-Gly-Gly-Asn-Val). An antioxidative composition contains the antioxidative peptide as an active ingredient. The gelatin is prepared by cutting Gadus macrocephalus skin, adding 1% Ca(OH)_2 to remove non-collagen proteins, washing with tap water, and extracting gelatin with distilled water. |
