摘要 PURPOSE: A system and a method using augmented reality for measuring a distance between a real object and a virtual model are provided to inspect installation suitability by measuring a spaced distance between a real object and an external store by using an augmented reality method on a real time basis, to reduce development costs, and to remarkably simplify a design process. CONSTITUTION: A system using augmented reality for measuring a distance between a real object and a virtual model comprises air, a real object(1) such as a vehicle or a warship and virtual object synchronization interface(2). The virtual object synchronization interface includes a recognition device(3), an AR simulator(4), an input device(5), an external store computation mock-up(6), and a display device(7). The recognition device utilizes a small camera to provide augmented reality images like the real object to a real target object. The simulator operates a program in which a ranging algorithm is implemented after composing real object images and virtual model images of an external store. The ranging algorithm measures a distance between the external store and the real object by using a marker.
