<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image processing on pixels not included in a character neighboring region in an image, so as to save a color material, while maintaining visibility of a character. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device 10 that executes image processing to form an image using a color material on a recording medium includes: a character neighboring region detection part that detects a character neighboring region which is adjacent to a character included in the image; and a color material saving part that executes image processing on a non-character-adjacent-region pixel which is a pixel in the image but not included in the character adjacent region, to save the color material to be consumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
