PURPOSE: A method for improving yield of dimethylene glycol is provided to improve reaction selectivity of ethylene oxide to diethylene glycol, thereby capable of obtaining diethylene glyol from ethylene oxide with high yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving yield of diethylene glycol comprises a step of hydrating ternary mixed solution consisting of ethylene oxide, water and monoethylene glycol upon when manufacturing ethylene glycol mixture through a hydration reaction of an ethylene oxide. The ternary mixed solution is manufactured by adding monoethylene glycol into an ethylene oxide solution in which ethylene oxide is dissolved into the water, or dissolving the ethylene oxide into solution in which the monoehylene glycol is mixed into the water. |
