The invention relates to a pivoting handle for a cooking vessel, comprising a mounting base and a gripping member (5) mounted on said base such that it can tilt about an axis (XX') between a first gripping position and a second rest position. The handle is provided with retaining means (10) including at least a first latch (25) and a second latch (30) which are designed to be able to move along a first path (T25) and a second path (T30) respectively between: an engaged position, in which the latches abut against first and second bearing surfaces (26A) respectively, said surfaces being disposed laterally with respect to the first and the second paths (T25, T30) and at a distance from one another along the tilting axis (XX'); and a released position, in which said latches (25, 30) release the first and second supporting surfaces (26A). The invention is suitable for handles for cooking vessels. |
