<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dirt and scratches of an up-and-down flap in installing work, while almost preventing dust particles flying in an installing work place from getting in an air conditioner body, and to easily perform a drain check after installation without detaching a protective cover. <P>SOLUTION: The protective cover 14 made of a flexible and airtight material blocks a whole opening part on the underside of the air conditioner body 1 having at least a built-in drain pan 7 and a suction opening 3 and a blowout opening 4 on the underside.
