<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan control system and a method for the same capable of controlling rotational speeds of respective fans to cope with different conditions. <P>SOLUTION: This fan control system includes a control element, a temperature sensor, and a controller for system management. The control element detects the number of respective hard disks in a working state, the temperature sensor detects a temperature of a hard disk zone, and the controller for system management has the number of the hard disks in a reading state in the hard disk zone, and temperature values of the plurality of the hard disk zones and scale values of a plurality of the controllers for system management. One scale value corresponds to the number of the hard disks in the reading state and the temperatures values. The controller for system management stores the temperature values of the hard disk zones from the temperature detector after detecting them, and detects scales corresponding to the temperature values, and the number of the hard disks in the reading state, and controls the rotational speed of the fan based on the scales. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
