ELECTROACOUSTIC CONVERTER AND PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from attaching to an upper surface side of a vibrating membrane of an electroacoustic converter disposed inside a housing of a portable telephone even when the water enters from a sound hole of the housing.

SOLUTION: An upper surface of a vibrating membrane 23 of an electroacoustic converter 11 is provided with a surface processing layer 26 for dropping water attached to the upper surface side of the vibrating membrane 23 from an outer peripheral edge of the vibrating membrane 23. The water that enters from a sound hole 2 of a housing 1 and is attached to the upper surface side of the surface processing layer 26 is guided to the circumference of the surface processing layer 26 and discharged to the outside the housing 1 through a drain groove 13 disposed around the circumference of the surface processing layer 26, a drain tube 33 having a hydrophilic layer 34 disposed on an inner surface thereof, and a drain hole 31 disposed in the housing 1. This prevents the water from attaching to the upper surface side of the vibrating membrane 23.
