<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing yield. <P>SOLUTION: A flat display device comprises: gate wiring and source wiring that are formed in an active area on a substrate and drawn out to a peripheral area on the substrate; a first pad group including a plurality of pads formed at one end side of a long side of the substrate in the peripheral area on the substrate, a second pad group including a plurality of pads formed at the other end side of the long side, and a third pad group including a plurality of pads formed between the first pad group and the second pad group along the long side; a plurality of source IC chips each mounted between the first pad group and the third pad group and between the second pad group and the third pad group in the peripheral area on the substrate, and outputting a video signal to the source wiring; and a plurality of connection wiring connecting the pads of the first pad group, the second pad group, and the third pad group to the source IC chips respectively.
