<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a projection display device provided with a plurality of light sources to stably operate in any usage environments. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 includes: a light source device 610 having lamps 611, 612, 613, and 614; liquid crystal panels 630, 640, and 650 that modulate lights emitted from the light source device 610; power supply sections (a power supply device 711, and lamp power supplies 707, 708, 709, and 710) that generate electric power for driving the light source device 610 from electric power from a commercial AC power supply of either 200 volts or 100 volts; an operation panel 4 for an operation of setting an output mode of the light source device 610; and a CPU 701. The CPU 701 receives setting operation at a time before initiation of projection, sets the output mode in accordance with the setting operation, and activates the light source device 610 so as to have an output corresponding to the set output mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
