<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a piezoelectric motor. <P>SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric motor, a lateral pressure elastic body biases a vibrating body case against a housing case in a Y direction to prevent the vibrating body case from coming off by reaction force in driving the piezoelectric motor, and a lateral pressure rolling body and a roller groove on which the lateral pressure rolling body rolls are provided between the vibrating body case and the housing case. Further, a holding elastic body and a holding rolling body are provided on the side opposite to a side to which the lateral pressure elastic body biases, which biases the vibrating body case against the housing case in a Z direction. Since fitting between the lateral pressure rolling body and the roller groove can prevent backlash of the vibrating body case on the side to which the lateral pressure elastic body biases in the Z direction, only the provision of the holding elastic body and the holding rolling body is enough to prevent the backlash of the vibrating body case in the Z direction.
