PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a cluster interlocked with a navigation system are provided to determine the necessity of refueling and to inform a driver about locations of gas stations within a range of a travelling possible distance on a route to a destination, thereby improving user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a cluster interlocked with a navigation system(1) comprises: a step of receiving distance information to a destination from the navigation system; a step of determining the necessity of refueling according to a result of comparing the received distance information to the destination and travelling possible distance information; and a step of requesting to search locations of gas stations on the route to the destination to the navigation system.
