PURPOSE: An aramid fiber and a method for fabricating the same are provided to obtain the aramid fiber without a sulfuric acid solvent using a polymerization solution as a spinning dope. CONSTITUTION: An aramid fiber has a repeat unit of chemical formula 1 and a repeat unit of chemical formula 2. A method for preparing the aramid fiber comprises: a step of dissolving substituted p-phenylenediamine in which hydrogen of phenylene is substituted with -CN, -Cl, -SO3H, or -CF3, and p-phenylenediamine in an organic solvent; a step of adding terephthaloyl dichloride; a step of extruding the polymerization solution through a spinneret; and a step of solidifying the extruded polymerization solution. |
