<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can perform a preview in actual size with respect to image data having no information on the output sheet size or resolution. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming device, the presence of information on the sheet size for selected data is determined. When it is determined that there is no information on the sheet size, a user is made to select the sheet size for printing the selected data. An image for preview in actual size is generated from the selected data on the basis of the selected sheet size.
