PURPOSE: A method for updating a database of a GPS measurement system using a smart phone is provided to maintain the latest files by updating drawing and document databases by correcting text data of a drawing file and a document file of GPS measurement and correcting each text data of other drawing and document files automatically. CONSTITUTION: According to a method for updating a database of a GPS measurement system using a smart phone(121), a mobile base station(110) is installed at a GPS measurement reference point to receive a plurality of GPS satellite signals, and generates and transmits a GPS position information signal and a GPS satellite correction signal of the GPS measurement reference point to a mobile movable station(120). The mobile movable station accurately measures the relative position of an unknown measurement point by receiving the GPS position information signal and the GPS satellite correction signal transmitted from the mobile base station and a GPS position information signal of the unknown measurement position, and then transmits the measured relative position. A computer(130) receives the relative position from the mobile movable station, and corrects text data of a first drawing file and text data of a first document file which are received in advance, by using the received relative position. A server(140) receives the corrected first drawing file and the corrected first document file from the computer, and stores the received first drawing file and the received first document file in a drawing file database(150) and a document file database(160) respectively. The server stores and updates text data of a corrected second drawing file and text data of a corrected second document file in the drawing file database and the document file database respectively.
