<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper apparatus and a camera unit that can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: In a wiper apparatus 1 for wiping dirt of an object 3 by reciprocating a blade 10 in which hinges 13 forming supporting points are arranged around the object 3, the blade 10 includes at least one of hinges 11, 12 in addition to the hinges 13 forming the supporting points, and turnable arm parts 14-16 which are divided by the hinges 11-13 including the hinges 13 forming the supporting points with a permanent magnet 18 being built therein.
