<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that can suppress the decline of productivity while reducing the waste of a printing medium and recording material due to jam occurrence. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 1 includes: a paper sheet feed portion 2 for feeding paper sheet P; a conveyance portion for conveying the paper sheet P fed by the paper sheet feed portion 2 along the conveyance route; an inkjet head portion 5 for printing the paper sheet P conveyed along the conveyance route; a plurality of paper sheet sensors 27a to 27e, 33a to 33c, 36a to 36c, 43, 49a and 49b for detecting the paper sheet P conveyed along the conveyance route; and a control section 11 for checking on the presence or absence of the conveyance abnormality by way of feeding the paper sheet P for test conveyance from the paper sheet feed portion 2 and conveying the paper sheet P for test conveyance by the conveyance portion with the omission of printing by the inkjet head portion 5 and using the timing of paper sheet P for test conveyance detected by the paper sheet sensors 27a to 27e, 33a to 33c, 36a to 36c, 43, 49a and 49b, when resuming the printing after the jam occurrence of paper sheet P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
