<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift axle device capable of reliably elevating and lowering a predetermined axle without disposing an air spring exclusive for a lift axle. <P>SOLUTION: The lift axle device includes: a first engaging member (for example, a lock unit 4) fixed to a vehicle frame (3); and a second engaging member (6) fixed to an axle (10) to be elevated or lowered. The first engaging member (4) includes a release lever (7), and the first and second engaging members (4, 6) have: a function of mechanically engaging with each other when air in an air spring (11) mounted on the axle (10) is discharged; and a function of disengaging the first and second engaging members (4, 6) in a mechanically engaged state, by means of the release lever (7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
