PURPOSE: A physical layer identity assignment method of a femtocell base station is provided to set a PCI which is satisfied with a collision-free condition and a confusion-free condition in the femtocell base station. CONSTITUTION: A femtocell base station obtains current location information(S310). The femtocell base station transmits the current location information to an O&M(Operation & Maintenance) server(S320). The femtocell base station receives information related to one or more PCI based on the current location information from the O&M server(S340). The femtocell base station sets the PCI based on information related to the one or more PCI(S350).
