<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel assembly structure for a fast reactor capable of avoiding reaching recriticality by having molten fuel exhausting-scattering ability at core damage. <P>SOLUTION: Many fuel assembly structures for a fast reactor installed in a fast reactor with adjacent outer peripheral surfaces in close contact include a cylindrical mantle tube 11A having a hollow cross section, and many fuel rods 10 housed in the mantle tube 11A.
