METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLD AND MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a mold having recesses for forming projections of an antireflection film, by which nonuniformity in the alignment of the recesses is alleviated.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a mold includes: a hole-forming process of forming holes 36 on a surface 30a of a metallic base material 30 by anodization treatment; and a diameter-enlarging process which is performed after the hole-forming process and in which the diameter of each hole 36 is enlarged by etching. The hole-forming process includes: a first step of forming a plurality of holes 37 on the surface of the metallic base material; and a second step which is performed after the first step and in which the depth of part of holes 36 of the plurality of holes 37 is increased.
