PURPOSE: A method for providing a service to insert advertisements into a region set by a user is provided to minimize inconvenience of the user and to enable advertisement insertion in an area of interests and at a viewpoint of the user. CONSTITUTION: When an advertiser terminal(20) receives a request for an advertisement(S10), an advertisement agent server(10) builds up a database of advertising materials after receiving the advertising materials from the advertiser terminal(S20). If a user terminal(30) requests the advertisement agent server for a download of an application(S30), the advertisement agent server sends the application to the user terminal(S40). After running the application installed in the user terminal, the user enters configuration commands using menus provided by the application(S50). After the user finishes the configurations related to the selection menus about advertisement insertion, the user transmits the configuration commands including the information entered by operation of the user terminal to the advertisement agent server(S60). The advertisement agent server extracts advertising materials corresponding to the configuration commands and transmits the extracted advertising materials to the user terminal(S70). The user terminal displays the advertising materials in an advertising area configured by the configuration commands on a display screen of the user terminal(S80).
