摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device that is configured to reduce NOx while using ammonia excited and reformed by being irradiated with ultraviolet light as a reducing agent and has improved reduction efficiency of NOx. <P>SOLUTION: An ammonia exciting/reforming apparatus 8 includes: a reservoir box 20 having an inner diameter larger than that of an ammonia flow pipe 7; a stainless-steel made cover 21 provided to internally include the reservoir box 20; an excimer lamp 22 provided outside the reservoir box 20 and inside the cover 21; and a power source 23 for the excimer lamp 22. The reservoir box 20 includes a cylindrical body 20a formed of glass so as to allow ultraviolet light radiated from the excimer lamp 22 to transmit therethrough; and flanges 20b provided at both ends of the body 20a.
