<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability or practicability of a detection distance measurement device. <P>SOLUTION: A detection distance measurement device includes: M-piece of transmitting-sensor elements for transmitting probe signals; N-piece of receiving-sensor elements for receiving echo signals generated by the probe signals being reflected by a target; a matrix generation part for generating a third matrix produced by multiplying a first matrix and a second matrix, where the first matrix has, as diagonal elements, L-piece of reception signals obtained from an effective reception sensor array constituted by synthesizing M-piece of transmitting-sensor elements and N-piece of receiving-sensor elements and the second matrix is constituted by mutually linear-independent P-piece L-dimensional vectors; and an estimation part for estimating an incoming direction of an echo signal from the target on the basis of a pseudo-covariance matrix produced by multiplying the third matrix and its Hermitian conjugate transposition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
