<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which can generate a limited color image in which a foreground and a background are clearly reproduced. <P>SOLUTION: A representative color extraction part 1 extracts a representative color from an object image for processing. A limited color image generation part 2 generates a limited color image using the representative color. A foreground and background separation part 3 separates a region for processing including a target pixel into a foreground region and a background region. A color difference calculation part 6 calculates color difference between a color of the foreground region and a color of the background region for the target pixel determined to be in a contour region by a contour determination part 4. When the color difference is smaller than a predetermined value, the representative color corresponding to the foreground region and the representative color corresponding to the background region are reselected as corrected representative colors so that the color difference becomes big. A color replacement part 8 replaces the color of the target pixel with the corrected representative colors selected by a corrected representative color selection part 7 when a color number determination part 5 determines that the number of colors in the region for processing is equal to or less than two colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
