<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller which, when controlling a medium processor to continuously execute a series of processing including optical reading on the plural media, suppress degrading of throughput relating to the processing on the plural media. <P>SOLUTION: While a composite processor 1 continuously executes the series of processing on the plural media, a device controller 85 of a host computer 5 receives data relating to a reading result obtained by a surface CIS unit 47 and stores the data in an image buffer 86.
