<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module which ensures heat radiation performance, reduces the number of components and the cost, and makes impedance matching easy. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission module includes: a package 11 where a laser light emitting element 22, a lens 23, and a monitor light reception element 24 are mounted; and a sleeve 12 connecting with an optical fiber. The laser light emitting element, the lens, and the monitor light reception element are directly mounted on a carrier member 21 which is formed by a single ceramic body where a wiring conductor is formed and has a three dimensional component shape. The single ceramic body is formed by aluminium nitride, and the carrier member 21 is formed by injection molding so as to have an L shape having a first surface side H arranged parallel to output light from the laser light emitting element and a second surface side V arranged perpendicular to the first surface side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
