<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling cut length of a tread, in which the defective tread is restrained from being produced due to a lot-to-lot difference to supply the stabilized tread. <P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling the cut length of the tread, by which the cut length is controlled when cutting a tread rubber composition kneaded/extruded from an extruder, comprises the steps of: beforehand acquiring lots of data on a relationship between a stress relaxation value of the kneaded tread rubber composition and the rate of change of the length ((an extruded length)/(a molded length)) of the tread until being stuck to a raw cover just after being cut; measuring the stress relaxation value of the extruded tread rubber composition; and controlling the cut length of the tread on the basis of beforehand acquired data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
