PURPOSE: An information providing system using augmented reality based on a knowledge management system and a method thereof are provided to construct massive information as ontology, thereby automatically supplying customized information. CONSTITUTION: A database unit(100) stores meaning information through ontology modeling. The database unit stores annotation information for a recognized object. An input unit(200) receives task selection signals from an ontology information display module(450). The input unit receives image information from a camera. An analysis unit(300) analyzes an object property included in the inputted image information.
