<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient-holding device coping with a movement amount of a patient toward a foot side end part of a bed with the lapse of time. <P>SOLUTION: This patient-holding device 10 includes a head side end part 16 and the foot side end part 18. The patient-holding device includes a compressed air supply source, a plurality of bags 20, a manifold, a plurality of pressure sensors, and a controller. The controller includes a processor, a timer, and a memory element. The processor executes instructions from the memory such that the processor retrieves a reference patient-specific profile from the memory, calculates the outcome of a first patient according to the movement amount of the patient toward the foot side end part of the bed with the lapse of time, updates the reference patient-specific profile so as to include the outcome of the first patient, calculates a set of operation parameters based on the updated patient-specific profile (here, the set of operation parameters including a set of target pressures to the plurality of bags), and adjusts the pressures inside the bags to the target pressures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
