<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method that can perform excellent friction agitation joining by surely preventing the outflow of powdery joining material filled into a clearance formed at a joint part of members to be joined. <P>SOLUTION: The joining method includes: preparing a seal space that leads to the clearance formed at butting parts of the members to be joined; blocking the seal space with a filler; filling the powdery joining material in the clearance; pressing, while rotating a joining tool provided with a substantially cylindrical shoulder part and a protrusion protruded from the tip surface of the shoulder part, the protrusion into the butting parts and pressing the tip surface to the butting parts; and moving the rotating joining tool along the butting parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
