HUMAN POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM AND HUMAN POSITION DETECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human position detection system and a human position detection method for detecting a human position and a viewpoint direction with high accuracy by a configuration simpler than the conventional one.

SOLUTION: The human position detection system of this invention includes: a mounting fixture put on the head of a human with a plurality of markers arranged as a marker pattern on a two-dimensional plane; an imaging device for imaging an image; an image recognition processing unit for extracting the markers from the image to generate a marker image showing an image with the markers distributed; and a three-dimensional position calculation unit for comparing a two-dimensional planar marker arrangement position obtained by changing a direction and distance with a marker arrangement position in the marker image imaged by the imaging device while changing the direction of a two-dimensional plane with the marker distributed in a reference marker image imaged in advance by the imaging device in front of the imaging device itself and the distance to the imaging device, and calculating a distance between the two-dimensional plane and the imaging device and a direction perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane.
