<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect correcting method and a defect correcting device for color filters, for use in correcting any defective part such as foreign matter having arisen in a color filter configured by arraying over a transparent substrate a plurality of colored layers in a prescribed pattern, that can be accurately controlled, enable correction to be done in a shorter period of time and involve no fear for color mixing with correcting ink. <P>SOLUTION: Colored pixels of a color filter containing any defective part is irradiated with a laser beam to be cleared of the defective part; the area of the defect-removed part that is formed is measured; correcting ink is applied over a base to produce correcting ink solidified by cooling to 0°C or below; the solidified correcting ink molded to an area substantially equal to the area of the removed part is peeled off and cut out; the cut-out solidified correcting ink is arranged over the defect-removed part; and the arranged correcting ink is melted and dried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
