<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, an image display system, an image display device control method, and so on by which users can check other contents information such as music in a displayed image. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100, which is configured to be connectable to a portable music player 200 and a personal computer 300, includes a sound output section 150 and an image display section 140. The sound output section 150 outputs sound corresponding to a first content from the player 200. The image display section 140 superimposes an image corresponding to a second content from the personal computer 300 on content information corresponding to the first content played by the player 200, and projects the superimposed image.
