<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent synthetic resin pipes from being moved in a coming-off direction during fusion joining or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This structure 10 for joining an electrofusion joint and the synthetic resin pipes is used for fusion-joining the synthetic resin pipes 12 by the electriofusion joint 14. The inner surface of the socket 18 of the electrofusion joint 14 is formed with projections 30 positioned on an inner side than heating wires 20, and stoppers 22 are provided on the inner side than the projections 30. Also, recesses 32 for storing the projections 30 are formed in the outer surfaces of the synthetic resin pipes 12. An interval between the ends of the synthetic resin pipes 12 and the recesses 32 is smaller than an interval between the projections 30 and the stoppers 22 so that "insertion margins" are ensured between the ends of the synthetic resin pipes 12 and the stoppers 22. Further, the recesses 32 have a shape larger in an axial direction than that of each of the projections 30, and the projections 30 are loosely stored in the recesses 32 while having "storage margins".
