<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening stopper in a stepladder which eliminates the risk of worker's being injured by jamming his finger at opening/closing of legs of the stepladder. <P>SOLUTION: An opening stopper (6), which openably/closably connects a pair of legs (4a, 4b) and holds them so as not to be closed from a predetermined open leg state, comprises: first arm means (7) which is provided with a pair of right and left arm members (7R, 7L) pivotally connected to the bottom of a rung (3a) of the first leg (4a); and second arm means (8) which is provided with a pair of right and left arm members (8R, 8L) pivotally connected to the bottom of a rung (3b) of the second leg (4b). Tips of the arm members facing each other of both arm members (7, 8) is pivotally connected by pivot means (10), and the tips of the arm members (7R, 8L), (7L, 8R) facing each other of the first arm means (7) and the second arm means (8) are laterally separated (S1) through spacer means (15) located coaxially with the pivot means (10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
