<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for producing a nonwoven fabric and a method for producing a shaped nonwoven fabric, which enable a fiber web to be shaped so as to have protrusions having different heights when the fiber web is unevenly shaped, and which are excellent in ability of shaping a fiber web. <P>SOLUTION: The support for producing a nonwoven fabric comprises: a plate-like body 11; a plurality of protrusions 12 (12A and 12B) arranged on a surface 11S side of the plate-like body 11; and a plurality of holes 13 penetrating the plate-like body 11. The protrusions 12 and holes 13 are alternately arranged in a first direction X in a plane when the plate-like body 11 is viewed in a plan view. The protrusions 12 each have a first surface 12SA and a second surface 12SB opposite to each other, and are arranged in series in a second direction Y different from the first direction X in the plane as viewed in a plan view. There are at least two varieties of heights from a back surface 11B of the plate-like body 11 to tops 12T of the protrusions. The protrusions 12A are arranged at intervals so as to be each surrounded by other adjacent protrusions 12B.
