The invention relates to an electric brush carrier (1) with a commutator, and a protective device (PD) for the electric brush carrier. The electric brush carrier (1) comprises a support structure (2, 6) with an opening (3) for receiving the commutator, wherein an electric brush installation structure (4) is arranged surrounding the opening (3), an electric brush is installed in the electric brush installation structure (4). Electric connection paths (7) for connecting the electric brush (5) to external power supply terminals, are arranged in the support structure (2, 6). The protective device (PD) is arranged along at least one of the connection paths, and comprises elastic, transformable and conductive machinery, and a blade (40) electrically connected between two conductive components (17, 18), wherein the blade (40) is in a approximately fixed manner (40b, 18) at one end and comprises thermal-fusible connection (40a, 17) at the other end, and the blade comprises preload which is elastic and is intended to destroy the connection (40a, 17) at the other end. |
