PURPOSE: An image display device, a server, and an operating method thereof are provided to generate real time viewer rating information in the server by extracting broadcasting information which is included in a broadcasting signal which is received through a set-top box or an image which includes the broadcasting information and transmitting the extracted information and image to the server. CONSTITUTION: An image display device receives a broadcasting signal of a STB(Set Top Box) through an external device interface unit(S1310). The device extracts broadcasting information which is included in the broadcasting signal or an image which is included the broadcasting information(S1320). The device transmits the broadcasting information or the image to a server(S1330). The device receives real time rating information from the server and displays an object which indicates the real time rating information(S1350,S1360).
