The roof (1) has a screening unit adapted to occult a surface part of the roof. The screening unit includes a movable fabric moving between a deployed position and a folded up position, and driven via a drive element that is actuated by an actuation unit (5). The drive element control movement of a deflector (4) movable between a retracted position corresponding to a closed position of a moving panel (3) and a deflection position corresponding with an open position of the moving panel. The drive element includes a cable (51a) whose end is integral with the fabric.
