PURPOSE: A direct type lighting device and a design method thereof are provided to design a lighting device with an optimum condition by producing a maximal ratio to the dimension of a housing, and satisfy both the optical efficiency and a color coordinate by producing an optimum ratio between the distance from the optical source and a light exciting plate, and the diameter of the housing. CONSTITUTION: A lighting device comprises a housing(10), at least one light emitting device(30) admitted within the housing, and a light exciting plate(40) arranged to be separated from the light emitting device within the housing. The ratio between the distance between the light emitting device and the light exciting plate, and the housing is 1:2 to 1:3. |
