A pneumatic braking system and a tire type engineering machinery comprising the pneumatic braking system. The pneumatic braking system comprises an air-reserve cylinder (1, 2), a brake valve (3) and at least one pneumatic braking unit (4). The brake valve (3) comprises a first air inlet and a first air outlet, the first air inlet communicating with the air-reserve cylinder (1, 2). The at least one pneumatic braking unit (4) comprises a relay valve (41) and at least one braking air chamber (42). The relay valve (41) comprises a second air inlet (411), a second air outlet (412) and a control opening (413), the second air inlet (411) and the second air outlet (412) respectively communicating with the air-reserve cylinder (1, 2) and the at least one braking air chamber (42) through an air supply pipeline (5), and the control opening (413) communicating with the first air outlet of the brake valve (3) through a control pipeline (6). The at least one pneumatic braking unit (4) also comprises a pressure regulating unit (43) used for enabling the relay valve (41) to output different braking pressures.
