PURPOSE: A user interface device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to supply a manipulation feeling to a user by using the movement of an antenna. CONSTITUTION: An output unit(33) outputs an image or a voice. A storage unit(34) stores data about UI(User Interface) operation. An antenna(20) transceives a signal of a communication frequency band. An antenna movement sensing unit(36) outputs movement information of the antenna to a control unit(31). The control unit processes the signal of the communication frequency band and outputs UI operation according to the movement information by referring to data of the storage unit. The antenna movement sensing unit senses the rotation, expanding, sliding, and curvature of the antenna.
