<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling an internal combustion engine for a vehicle which can secure an operating pressure of negative pressure actuation equipment even in an operation state under fail-safe control where timing in such as an ignition timing control cannot be optimized due to the occurrence of malfunction in a sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The device for controlling an internal combustion engine for a vehicle which is mounted to a vehicle that includes a multicylindered internal combustion engine and a brake booster using an inner negative pressure of the air intake pipe of the engine, includes: a crank angle sensor; a cam angle sensor; a first control mechanism that executes cylinder determination processing based on a detection signal of at least one of both sensors, and based on the result of the processing, controls a normal operation of the internal combustion engine; and a second control mechanism that, on condition that a detection signal of one sensor is not input normally, executes the cylinder determination processing based on a detection signal of the other sensor, and based on the result of the processing, controls an operation of the internal combustion engine under a specific condition. The second control mechanism executes processing (step S12, S14) of increasing the inner negative pressure of the air intake pipe thereof when controlling an operation of the internal combustion engine under the specific condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
