<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system capable of preventing a fraudulent game from being played by a player different from a proper player. <P>SOLUTION: A game machine previously stores a character information string to constitute a password and prohibited character information specifying prohibited characters not to constitute the password, and creates code information including the stored character information string and prohibited character information based on the input password when the password is input. An information processing device also stores the character information string and prohibited character information in advance, specifies the character information string based on the information on the character information string included in the code information created by the game machine, and creates the password including game-related information by using character information other than the prohibited characters specified in the prohibited character information.
