<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a functional material in which heat resistance is improved and that can sufficiently exert the functionality of a nanoparticle, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The structure of the functional material includes a nanoparticle, wherein the nanoparticle is coated with an inorganic glass, the inorganic glass is formed such that a metal alkoxide that becomes a raw material of the inorganic glass is subjected to ligand exchange to a surface of the nanoparticle modified by an organic molecule that has an amino group, and is condensed through hydrolysis. An amine part in which a coordination power is weaker than that of a past organic substance is used as a surface modification radical, thereby an exchange of an Si-alkoxide that becomes a raw material of an inorganic glass and the surface modification radical becomes easy, as a result, the nanoparticle is not agglomerated but is dispersed uniformly in an inorganic glass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
