The present invention relates to an electric drive device (l-VIII) for driving of a motor vehicle (1) comprising an electric motor (20) arranged to be media supplied, the electric motor (20) having a jacket surface (21) and an essentially ring shaped cross section, wherein said media supply is arranged to be effected via a connection unit (100) arranged in connection to the jacket surface (21) of the electric motor (20). The invention also relates to a motor vehicle (1) with an electric drive device.
