PURPOSE: A tap piece for arc welding is provided to form inclined surfaces on the bodies of the tap piece and form a space between the mutually facing inclined surfaces, thereby collecting welding residues from an initial welding portion and a final welding portion through the space. CONSTITUTION: A tap piece for arc welding includes bodies(10) formed of ceramics and an arc generating plate(20). The bodies respectively have mutually facing inclined surfaces at a certain distance. The inclined surfaces are respectively and longitudinally extended from the mutually facing inner surfaces of the bodies. A stepped portion(12) is longitudinally extended from the lower surface of each body which is extended from the inclined surface. The arc generating plate is metallic, and is connected between the bodies. The upper surface of the arc generating plate is in close contact with the stepped portions. The height of the arc generating plate is identical to the height of the stepped portion. The bottom of the arc generating plate and the bottom of the body are collinear.
