#CMT# #/CMT# The dryer has a retainer (2) for retaining laundry (3), and a heating device (5) i.e. controllable gas burner, for heating air. A heat exchanger (8) is provided at an exhaust air side for transmission of thermal energy contained in exhaust air to a carrier medium i.e. liquid with components of water and/or glycol. Another heat exchanger (9) is provided at a supply air-side for transmission of thermal energy contained in the carrier medium to supply air. The heat exchangers are connected by a flow connector (10) that conducts the carrier medium. #CMT# : #/CMT# The retainer is designed as a container such as a drum. The heat exchangers are designed as pipe heat exchangers and pipe bundle heat exchangers. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Dryer for drying a laundry in a hotel and industry. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The heat exchangers are provided for transmission of thermal energy contained in exhaust air and carrier medium to carrier medium and supply air, respectively, and connected by the flow connector that conducts the carrier medium, thus ensuring efficient transmission of thermal energy of the exhaust air to the supply air with a compact construction of the dryer, and hence reducing installation space of the dryer. The dryer is constructed and/or structured at less complexity. The design of the dryer reduces maintenance susceptibility of the heat exchangers of the dryer and reduces heat output or warming of surrounding area.
